2024 NNPC/NAOC/OANDO Scholarship | How to Apply

Applications for the 2024 NNPC/NAOC/OANDO Scholarship are now open for eligible Nigerian students currently enrolled in Nigerian tertiary universities.

The NNPC/NAOC/OANDO Scholarship provides eligible Nigerian tertiary education students with an annual grant of ₦200,000. Recipients will receive funding from the time of selection until their final year of study at their current universities.

Details of NNPC/NAOC/OANDO Scholarship

The NNPC/NAOC/OANDO Joint Venture, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, invites eligible candidates to apply for its 2024 Tertiary NNPC/NAOC/OANDO Scholarship Scheme, effective from May 27 to June 30, 2024.

Categories of Awards:

  1. Host/Transit Communities Merit Award – For applicants specifically from NAOC Host/Transit Communities.
  2. National Merit Award – For applicants from Non-Host/Transit Communities.

Requirements for NNPC/NAOC/OANDO Scholarship

To be considered for NNPC/NAOC/OANDO Scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be registered full-time undergraduates in Nigerian tertiary institutions.
  • Be certified 100-level students at the time of application (admitted in the 2023/2024 academic session).

Note: The following categories are not eligible to apply:

  • Current beneficiaries of similar awards from other companies and agencies.
  • Dependents of NAOC/NAE/AENR/NACPFA staff.

Award Categories:

  1. Host Communities Merit Award:

    • Open only to indigenes of NAOC Host/Transit Communities in Rivers, Bayelsa, Delta, and Imo States.
  2. National Merit Award:

    • Open to applicants studying Engineering, Geology, Geosciences, and Agricultural Science.

Benefits of NNPC/NAOC/OANDO Scholarship

  • The NNPC OANDO Scholarship offers an annual N200,000 award to selected  tertiary institution students throughout the period of study

Required Documents for NNPC/NAOC/OANDO Scholarship

Candidates must be prepared to submit the following documents:

  1. Passport Photograph:

    • White background
    • Taken within the last 3 months
    • Size: 450px by 450px
    • File size: No more than 200kb
  2. School ID Card

  3. O’level Certificate

  4. Admission Letter

  5. Birth Certificate

  6. Proof of Local Government Area of Origin

  7. Letter from Community Paramount Ruler

    • Required only for applicants for the Host Communities Merit Award
  8. Letter from CDC Chairman

    • Required only for applicants for the Host Communities Merit Award
  9. JAMB Result

  10. NAOC Compliance Declaration Form

Important Notes:

  • Ensure documents are named according to their contents to avoid confusion during upload.
  • Attach the correct documents when prompted during the application process.
  • Provide valid email and phone contact details for effective communication.

How to Apply for NNPC/NAOC/OANDO Scholarship

To apply for the NNPC/NAOC/OANDO Scholarship, interested and qualified applicants should follow the steps below;

  1. Visit the Scholarship Webpage:

    • Click the button below to go to the scholarship webpage.
  2. Create an Account:

    • On the top right corner of the page, click on the “Apply Now” tab.
    • Click on “Register Now” to create an account.
    • Check your email inbox to activate your account.
  3. Complete Your Application:

    • Enter your personal information, National Identification Number, educational information, and other required details.
    • Upload the necessary scanned documents.
  4. Document Submission:

    • Ensure the names used in your application match those on all submitted documents in the same order. If not, upload a sworn affidavit or certificate to justify discrepancies.
    • Preview all uploaded documents to verify they are clear and accurate.
    • For the photo, upload a passport photograph with a white background.
  5. Final Review and Submission:

    • Double-check all application information for accuracy.
    • Click “Apply Now” to submit your application.
  6. Confirmation:

    • You will receive an email and an SMS confirming your application was successful.
  7. Departmental Verification:

    • Return to https://candidate.scholastica.ng/, log in with your email and password to download your profile.
    • Have your Head of Department sign the downloaded profile document.
    • Upload a scanned copy of the signed profile for verification.
